Some people prefer to plan activities for their free time very carefully. Others choose not to make any plans at all for their free time. Compare the benefits of planning free-time activities with the benefits of not making plans. Which do you prefer - planning or not planning for your leisure time? If we visit any book shop we will see the huge number of literature that tells us how to organize our time and to get a great result in business or everyday life. Nowadays time management is very popular for the following reasons.
First of all there are a lot of information and activities we deal with and their amount increases year after the year. New technologies, methods, sciences, everything requires our attention. The rate of life doubled for the 20th century. Therefore, we need to organize our time and plan activities not only for our free time but for every moment of the day. We are a business genegation and we should manage to do everithing at appropriate time. The prevelege to waste houres in gardens watching flowers and listening to birds is in the Middle Ages.
On the other hand, the main problem of our society is the lack of freedom. Schedules, plannings limit our imagination and happiness to make spontaneous decisions. A lot of people get stressful because they feel as a bird in the cage. Not creating any plans we can receive some unexpected suggestions, find solutions hidden deep in our souls and that will look like a good surprise.
In my opinion, people should match both ways. In one case we can get many benefits planning our activities as it makes out time effective, in other case we can avoid making severe timetable and feel comfortable searching some sudden events and thinking of unusual activities.
As for me, I try to plan my day, especially when I study. It helps me not to miss something very important. My free time depends on my work and education and I'am not able not to think about planning. It often annoies me because of freedom absense that I mentioned above.
